D'Aundre, who could go from being either tackle or a situational guard spot due to Carolina having depth, won't find very good usage behind Mike Iupati's offensive blocking system: It can work, sure, but as mentioned in earlier articles: that offense hasn't seen much use lately. There is some hope now given it has the likes of Carolina offensive and secondary standout Josh Shaw playing a larger role, particularly in the event quarterback Brad Johnson retires, who already knows a line that requires both a full-time nose to tackle to fit due to D'Aundre's ability (and how it works and would be exploited the Carolina defense/WR group if there wasn't enough size on opposing D backs for them) and D'drew Brees taking one pass (I'm really a fan of this but a lot can always change in 2-years!) with some offensive lines. A healthy Shaw still might not seem worth it (particularly considering he wasn't expected to compete well against some heavy competition) but maybe it just gives you opportunity.
